About     §1.1.- Type of organization: Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) is a not-for-profit organization, which operates free of any political or religious agendas.   §1.2.- Mission: The mission of EDD is to promote a positive view of Diasporas towards stimulating improved utilization of their capacity for the benefit of all.  §1.3.- Actions: EDD fulfills its mission by raising awareness and providing adequate information on the subject, and by empowering diaspora communities and organisations working in the same area.   §1.4.- Geographic scope: Given that the targeted groups of our mission and actions are not limited to a single or particular country, region or world part (diasporas are dispersed across the world and the mechanisms behind could be local, "glocal", regional, global...), the geographical scope of EDD is international/global.   §1.5.- Emphasis of undertaking: EDD puts the emphasis on the migration occurring between least/less developed countries and more developed countries (so as to put focus on migration as a mechanism for development), although all trends of diaspora occurences are considered in the program.   §1.6.- Financing: EDD is managed on a voluntary basis and financed through donations, grants and funding. Read here how to support us.   §1.7.- Values and Principles for collaboration: EDD have no relations and share no sympathies with any groups or individuals opposing any Human Rights or with a standpoint consisted of any hate related features or actions. According to this fundamental value of ours EDD strongly resists any partnerships or collaborations with groups and adheres of any of such opinions or groups. §2. Acceptance of Terms This website, available at www.diasporas.se, and all pages within are owned and managed by Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD). Accessed by visitors under the Terms of Use described here within (please read before using any services of EDD), visitors agree to become bound by these terms and conditions. §3. Modifications of the Terms of Use Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) reserves the right to, without any further notice, revise this Terms of Use when needed, and the valid version will be located here: www.diasporas.se/termsofuse.html.   §4. Copyright All content in the website of Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) is copyrighted. All use, except for use of proper citation, of any material within is strictly prohibited without the prior written permission of EDD. §5. Responsible Publisher Managing Director of Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) is responsible for all material published on the website of EDD. However, posts added (written) in the Discussion Board of EDD are not included, as those adds may have been published by people and groups with other intentions (and those who publishing may incorrectly appoint themselves as representatives of EDD). EDD strive to correct all inaccuracies.  §6. Discussion Board Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) reserves the right to delete adds in the Discussion Board of EDD for any reason at any time without liability to inform the publisher even though previously acknowledged or accepted. The publisher agrees to not add posts with any spam or promotional references without the prior written permission of EDD. In addition, the content of adds should meet the aim of the Discussion Board, that is to ventilate and discuss issues related to Diasporas and migrants. Publishers at the Discussion Board of EDD should be aware that EDD may - if found relevant - relate published adds at EDD Twitter profile (EDD_Tweets) and on EDD Facebook wall, without further notice. §7. EDD Network Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) reserves the right to delete posts published at the EDD Network, but also to delete registered organisations within the EDD Network at any time without liability to inform the organisation even though previously acknowledged or accepted. Registered organizations (which are only those working and acting towards promoting diasporas and migrants) agree to use EDD Network only to promote and make visible its agendas, to influence and create networks, and for reaching out to diaspora- and migrant communities (however not to be used as a discussion board of any kind). Other use, without having the prior written permission of EDD, is strictly prohibited and will lead to the removal of both published posts and account. §8. Links and references to external websites Engaging Diasporas for Development (EDD) may link and refer to content within external websites and sources. As the content of these websites or sources may change or be deleted, EDD can not guarantee that the content of these websites or sources remain relevant for EDD. You further therefor acknowledge and agree that EDD shall not be responsible or liable for the content within external websites or sources linked or referred to from EDD or that EDD doesn't necessarily agree to these.                   Raise your Voice
